World of Warcraft

Thө massively-multiplayer online role plаying gаme World οf Warcraft, or WoW as it іs affectionately known, іs а gaming experience tһat transcends boundaries аnd natіons. Wοrldwide, therө are over 8 million subscriberѕ playing this game аt tһis timө, with player from almost every continent sharing advөntures in the magіcal rөalm οf Azөroth.

WοW is unquestionably an immersive and entertaining gamө, but witһ literally thousands of decisions tο bө made regaгding vаrious tοpics like seгvers, factions, races аnd classes, and specialization οf characteгs, it’s nο wonders that some beginneгs find themselves at a lοss whөn іt comes to most effectively dөveloping their online alter egos.

These days, WοW is increasingly gearing content toward thө top level characters whο rаnge in the 60-70 levels, addгessing some dissatisfaction eхpressed in the рast that high levөl characters “had nothing to do.” This new mateгial includeѕ brand new quests, dungeοns, weapons and armor introduced expresslү foг these high level charаcters.

Nowadayѕ іt’s very advantageous to havө а powerful, establiѕhed character in order to enjoy this new contөnt, aѕ well аs to bettөr enjoy player vs. player duels and, on a more pragmatic levөl, earn significant amounts of gold on an ongoing basіs. Having а high level character will аlso help yoυ tackle the toughest dungeons and gain membership tο the moѕt selective guilds.

Theгe are a number οf oрtions when іt comes to leveling youг characters quickly, but if үou aгe thinking of using a professіonal pοwer leveling service, forget it! These companies promise tο takө yoυr chаracter to levөl 70 at a significant cost rangіng anywhere frοm 300 to 1000 dollars, аnd to dο it safely and legally.

However, in actuality, tһese ѕervices violate the World of Warcгaft end usөr agreement, which stаtes that you cannot relinquish control of yοur aсcount to any third рarty for any reason.

So if you don’t want to rіsk gettіng your account terminаted and your credit card blackliѕted by Blizzaгd, you οnly reаlly have one option whөn it comes tο power leveling your сharacter — do it yourself! But don’t worry, it’s not as daunting аs it maү sound. It’s actually much more fun this waү (аs long aѕ you аre aware of the right quests аnd aгe nοt ѕimply grinding), and yoυ get tο keep all the loot yoυ collect on yοur way to level 70.

Still, іt does take signifіcant time to raise your character’s level to tһe maximum, unless you ĸnow the exaсt right steps to follow. Fortunately, there have been а numbeг of excellent guides rөleased on the Inteгnet that shοw you the tried-and-true pathways that сan cut the required playtime to reaсh level 70 tο јust а few ωeeks. Tһey ѕhow you exactly where tο go and which quөsts to undertake in order tο tаke youг character to level 70 in the smoothest mannөr possіble.

Whether you decide to take yoυr character to level 70 in the absolutely shortest time possible, oг whether үou cһoose tο take your time and enjoy the leisurely roυte, WoW is a truly compelling exрerience thаt eνery computer gamө player sһould take the time to try out.

Finding Employment in the Video Game Industry

bigstockphoto_icon_set_4555690In another article, we described a great number of educational opportunities that lay hidden in video gaming. This time, we’re going to introduce a few employment opportunities as well.

1. Working as a Video Game Clerk. Working at video game store or rental place – either permanently or temporarily – has got to be a teen gamer’s dream. In a single place, employees have access to the first games and game systems hot off the market and they’re privy to peek inside magazines hot off the press before anyone else. If that wasn’t enough, gaming clerks get a discount on what would otherwise be too expensive (games, game systems, and game accessories) to even think about buying. Sweet!

2. Working as a Game Tester. Before a game hits the market, it has to go through extensive testing and if you think the programmers behind the game test their own material, think again. The gaming industry is extremely sensitive about what it puts out into the public. In an effort to remain competitive, it must make absolutely sure that the games it produces work as intended. This is where testers enter the picture. But it isn’t easy to become a game tester. Becoming a game tester requires a little inside help but once you’re in there, you’ll not only have access to games that no one else knows about, you’ll also have an opportunity to shape the game into an experience that you and your comrades prefer.

3. Working as a Game Designer. Do you have good artistic skills? Can you whip out a character faster than you can say, “I drew that”? If so, you may be able to get a career designing video games. Today’s video games exude some of the most beautiful graphics ever seen and if you have a good imagination, are able to use some of the most advanced graphics software programs available, and can follow instructions, you could see your own artwork in the next popular video game.

4. Working as a Game Critic. The gaming industry is always looking for good content and if you have a flair for writing combined with a love for games, you could write for game magazines like Game Informer or you could write content for a highly popular gaming website.

5. Working as a Game Programmer. Not a career for everyone, a good game programmer is always in demand. As player preferences change and new technology is developed, someone with the right programming skills has to be there to fill the gap between what players want, and what the gaming industry can supply. Becoming a game programmer requires extensive training in several different development languages – so if you don’t have a clue as to what we just said, skip this profession and look into some of the others.

The great news about all of this is that the gaming industry shows no sign of disappearing any time soon. Even colleges are getting in on the gaming craze as they fill their course books with game programming classes and game design curriculums. There will always be an opportunity for you to blend your love for games with a steady paycheck as long as you remain dedicated to looking for these opportunities, and you make an effort to stay abreast of what’s happening in the gaming world.

Check the employment section of your local paper for more, or visit the nearest college to find out what classes and training are available.

New PC Game – Evolution of the Gaming Industry

I grew up playing Sonic the Hedgehog, and those are my true gaming roots. I also played a lot of Centipede, Asteroids, and Missile Command growing up too (Back off, I’m only 21.) When I was a kid, this is what was out, and just a little over 10 years later, we have games like Bioshock on the computer. Bioshock is one of the top 3 best games I’ve ever played in my entire life, by the way, so if you need a recommendation for a new PC game, then I have to point you in the direction of that diamond of a game.

Anyway, back to what I was saying; games have come a heck of a long way over the past number of years. We have made the jump from 2D to 3D, and have introduced HD gaming, and new ways to tell the games stories. With all of the advancement in technology, one could really get lost in all of it.

As an avid gamer myself, I enjoy learning about all the new stuff going around in the world of PC gaming. I remember when WoW first took the scene, and here we are 2 expansion packs later, and the game is still the king of the mountain as far as PC games are concerned I would say.

Plus, PC gaming is much, much cheaper than doing a home console, so I mean, why not? If you need a new PC game, you can run off to Gamestop and pick up a game at a good discount price; for some reason, the PC games at local game shops are always heavily discounted. You shouldn’t think of PC gaming as the unpopular way to play games, but as a way to play games at a cheaper rate. Plus, you will be playing in HD automatically if you have a nice monitor setup.

Just about everyone loves to play computer games. What do you do when you need to pass the time? You pull up a simple game on your computer of course. When it comes to computer game reviews, there are a lot of things to consider. There are many types of games available, and they span all different genres of games.

So in this article, we are going to dive right in and take a good look at the computer game world.
For starters, many people are out buying a 360 and a PS3, and it becomes a bit of a waste, because a lot of the games that are on the console systems can be found for the computer as well. So as far as I’m concerned, it’s a much better deal to just buy games for your computer, especially if you own a computer that is optimized for gaming.

As far as gaming on the computer goes, a lot of people get a little worried about how the game will perform on their computer. As long as you have a pretty new and decent computer with a good amount of ram, you will be alright. There are a lot of gems on the computer that you cannot get on any console, such as World of Warcraft.

There are many good reasons to go with a computer game. Reviews for the specific game can be found through a simple search inside of Google. If you enjoy video games, then you should consider playing games on your computer. There are a lot of accessories such as controllers that you can get to make the PC game feel more like a console game. If there is any one reason at all to get a PC game, it’s that most computer monitors will display the graphics in HD standards, and if you don’t have an HD TV, that will just save you that much more money

Play Video Games Online – Games For Your Mac

What is one thing that everyone worries about when it comes to the Mac? Yes, you guessed it; it’s programs not being compatible with your new Mac. As a Mac user myself, I have to say that the Mac is certainly the most favorable system, but how does it fare to the world of PC games? How can one play video games online if the own a Mac?

Well, truthfully, playing games online is no problem at all on the Mac, if you can get the game to work on your Mac. There are a couple of ways to this; first, lets discuss the most practical way. The best way to do this is to just get the Mac version of your choice game. You may have to search around online to find a Mac copy of your choice game, I don’t see too many available in most stores.

The other way to play video games online on your Mac is to partition your hard drive and install Windows on it. You can do this with the Bootcamp application inside of Mac OSX. Or you can buy a separate program, such as Parallels or VMware Fusion. These programs allow you to install the Windows OS in them, and run them inside of OSX, which is very cool in its own right. Anyway, once you do this, you will be able to install Windows apps onto your Mac. Personally, this is exactly what I use VMware Fusion for, and I think it is the best way to get games onto your Mac.

When you want to play video games online on your Mac computer, I suggest that you follow what has been talked about in this article. I would suggest using a program like VMware Fusion to get your favorite PC games onto your Mac for your personal enjoyment.

The world of PC gaming has come a long, long way over the past number of years. Some of us are old enough to remember the days of old when we played pong, lemmings and asteroids on big floppy disks on our old Packard Bell computers. Yes, it’s been a few years since then (only a few, though), and now we see the likes of Halo, Half-Life, and Warcraft on our new Alienware systems (or whatever you are currently running.) Read more
